ADUM Assistant is a simple tool that allows standard Active Directory users the ability to manage their personal information in the directory and the GAL. The goal is to eventually migrate to VB.NET and offer more advanced features for admins.

AD UserMod Assistant Version 0.8.4 Released

So, I finally got some time to publish a new release. This release offers some major new releases. I was going to make it a 0.9 release but decided to wait on that. The biggest feature offered in the new release is that it will check AD to see if the user has permissions to even write to the attribute before attempting to write. That should solve a lot of errors users were getting. I also added a FAQ and readme to the release.

The gui was cleaned up a little. I fixed some of the css and gave it a little different look and feel.

AD UserMod Assistant Version 0.8.1

I am pleased to announce the first release of the Active Directory UserMod Assistant tool. This file contains a number of bug fixes. Most are unknown to anybody since this is the initial release. I decided to continue with my version numbering even though I am now releasing it publicly. This should give those downloading the program an idea of where development is.

I hope at least some AD administrators find this script useful. Stay tuned for more releases.

Sourceforge.net Project Approved

This is a pretty big day for this little project. It is officially off the ground. I got notice this morning that it had been approved as a project on Sourceforge.net. While I don't have time right now to go into too many details regarding the project, I would like to let it be known that I am looking for developers that are interested in helping create a top-notch, Open Source Active Directory utility.
